Morning Coffee, God's Grace, and The Power of Hope

This morning, as I sat with my coffee in the quiet moments before my son's sleepy eyes opened, I found myself reflecting on the last few years of my life. Those few peaceful minutes reminded me just how far God has brought me and how thankful I am for His endless grace and mercy.

There was a time in my life when darkness surrounded me. During those years, I witnessed and experienced things that no one should ever have to endure. Along the way, I met incredible women who survived human trafficking. I listened to their stories, witnessed their resilience, and saw firsthand the unimaginable trauma they carried. They weren't just statistics...they were mothers, daughters, sisters, and women who deserved safety, healing, and hope.

Learning about Leviticus Fashions and the mission they support through The Justice Project felt anything but coincidental. I truly believe God placed them in my path for a reason.

For years, I forgot my Christian roots. I tried to carry every burden on my own and lost sight of the truth found in Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Looking back, I can see God's hand guiding me even when I couldn't recognize it. He never stopped pursuing me. He never gave up on me.

Coming back to my faith has changed everything. It didn't erase my past, but it transformed how I carry it. God has used every painful chapter to shape me into the woman I am today. I'm still growing. I'm still learning. I'm still a work in progress. But that's the beauty of walking with Christ....we're continually being refined.

Life doesn't slow down. Every day brings new responsibilities. I'm raising my children, caring for my home, working a full-time job, and building a business on the side. It's incredibly easy to become distracted and unintentionally drift away from God.

That's why I treasure mornings like today.

When I intentionally make time to sit with Him, to pray, and then simply listen, He restores my strength. He reminds me that I don't have to carry the weight of the world alone. He gently redirects my heart back to His purpose instead of my own plans.

As Christians, we are called to be stewards of Christ's love. Part of that calling is sharing hope with others. If my story helps even one person realize they are not alone, then every difficult season I've walked through has purpose.
