My First "Masterpiece" 😍

For someone who had no clue about which direction was up on a sewing machine, I think I made some good progress. 😎 And the most important thing, I found something that's good for me, brings me joy and keeps me focused and interested. WHICH IS REALLY HARD TO DO FOR ME!!! Because I am not interested in most anything. 😆 Well ......except wearing really long thigh boots (like the one's I have from Leviticus Fashions :) ).
Now I am spending hours trying to (re)create some old "ugly" outfits that I have in my wardrobe. 😂 I think, instead of finding a perfect guy, I found a perfect hobby. 😎 Well, at least something perfect is going on in my life. 😄
What I like the most about my new hobby, is that while sewing I don't think about anything else. I don't think about problems and this crazy world - I am sewing in my own little world.....and I can wear my boots while I sew! That is a great stuff when you are alone, really. It's like you have company because it keeps your mind focus and active. I also started talking to my sewing machine. 😆😆😆😆😆 Well, I think everything is fine as long as it doesn't start talking back to me.
Hey, some people are talking to plants so they can grow better. Well, I am not really a person for plants, but for machines........ 😂😂😂😂 Because machines can't die because of me.....only plants. 🌱 Fortunately, my sewing machine doesn't need so much attention, like watering regularly. 😆 I HOPE!
And look at this! I managed to (re)create my very first "masterpiece". 😎
I had some old, ugly dress I ordered on Ali Express from China 3 years ago. It seemed to look so much better in the advertisement photo then it does in reality (typical story). So, I cut it in half and made a cute top and skirt. I also added a bit of white fabric to make it look a bit more interesting. 😊 It still looks ugly. 😅😅😅 But for practicing stitches and adding fabric - it's just perfect!
Don't worry! I will never wear it. Because it's pretty ugly. And I also think I cannot fit into it anymore anyway. 😆😆
But I am so proud I made it. I am learning how to use my machine and how to stitch better. Oh, I know the stitches are not perfect. Very far from that, of course, but I am able to recognize my own mistakes and I am trying to do it better. And considering a few days ago, I did not even know what a bobbin was or did! Bla bla bla bobbin bobbin bobbin.
For something I am never gonna wear, it's good enough. 😆
I also made a few videos of me sewing it in my green LF's thigh boots. 😎 But you are gonna see it on youtube shortly. 😎 Stay tuned! I cannot wait for my new boots to arrive in this package that I am so scared about being returned to the United States due to the wrong spelling of my address! Please help me to pray for a safe and happy arrival. One day I hope to have so many long boots from Leviticus Fashions that I can wear a new pair each day of the month! All day. Everyday!
